Birth of Hailee : After 9 hours of labor, we met our baby girl. I was induced early because of gestational hypertension so she was little, weighing in at 5 lbs 12 oz and 18 inches long. Labor progressed very quickly at the end. I dilated from a 7 to a 10 in little over 30 minutes! There were worrisome moments during labor where her heartrate dropped dramatically during contractions. Turned out she had her umbilical cord around her neck. Luckily with repositioning and O2, she was ok and I delivered vaginally. We didn't name her until almost 24 hours later as we were still debating between 3 names. Hailee won. We love her immensely. What an amazing experience!
